a summary of what we believe.

...there is one, true living God who is creator of and life-giver to the universe, who is a loving and personal Being, and who is just and good in all His ways. Because He made us, we should listen to Him, and we owe Him the highest love, reverence and obedience. He reveals Himself to us relationally - as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - and invites us to walk in personal relationship with Him daily.

...Jesus came to earth as the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, born of a virgin, tempted in every way that we are, lived a perfect life, died a sacrificial death on a cross for the sins of the world, rose to life after three days, ascended to heaven, and will return one day to take His people to heaven. God restored all things through Him, and showed humanity how to live and love in both His life and death. Life now and to come are found in following Jesus.

...the Holy Spirit dwells in each follower, convicts the world of sin and unrighteousness, works in the life of each believer to blossom love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He demonstrates Himself in the life of the church. He comforts, instructs, and counsels Christ-followers in the ways of God through daily life by prayer and through the Word of God—the Bible.

...the Bible is the record of God’s activity among men regarding His effort to restore humans into right relationship with Himself. It was written by men but inspired by God's Spirit. It is the story of God’s loving creation and restoration of His people. It highlights the One who called Himself Truth (Jesus) and provides for the believer a tool to know the heart of God and hear the voice of God daily.

...individuals have an ultimate choice given by God—to choose to live seeing self as authority or God as authority. The default is to choose self. The main cause of every sin (disobedience toward God) is the choice of pleasing self rather than God. Therefore, every person is in need of forgiveness, regardless of what they have or have not done. Because of God’s grace (His unmerited favor and love) toward mankind, Jesus died on the cross so that men and women might have that forgiveness and be restored into relationship with the one, true living God. Salvation comes to every person who trusts in Jesus Christ as Lord and believes that His life and death were enough for their forgiveness and restoration. It is not by man’s works, but by those of Jesus Christ.

...community matters, and therefore the local church is central to the continued purposes of God everyday. The work of Jesus restored each individual into relationship with the living God, but it also restored us into relationship with one another as was originally intended. Humanity happens because of togetherness. Individualism is important, but only with regard to the beautiful mosaic that occurs when people come together for a greater cause than self. The church is that mosaic - individuals functioning in each of their strengths, united in Jesus, and purposed together to bring the message and love of God into the various cultures around them. One Lord. One body. One purpose. One community. Together.
