get less stuff. give more hope.

Hey Westpoint family.

Looking forward to diving into the Emmanuel series this coming Sunday morning. We will focus on the story of Mary and Joseph and how Emmanuel changed their family and how it changes our own.

FOR ADVENT CONSPIRACY together with the Church of West Orange, here's what we would suggest for our collection focus for the coming month (in case this helps those who want more clarity on what exactly to get and give to our homeless friends and the foster kids):

THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 4TH, bring underwear and winter hats for adults and kids either to worship gathering Sunday morning the 4th or to House Blend Cafe or Axum during the following week.

THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 11TH, bring sneakers (shoes) and socks for adults and kids either to worship gathering Sunday morning the 11th or to House Blend Cafe or Axum during the following week.

THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 18TH, bring hooded sweatshirts and jackets for adults and kids either to worship gathering Sunday morning the 18th or to House Blend Cafe or Axum during the following week.

THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS, bring jeans (sizes 28 to 34 for men, 6 to 14 for women, and all kids sizes) either to worship gathering on Christmas Eve (at Whispering Oak Elementary School at 5:30pm) or to House Blend Cafe or Axum during the following week.

THIS IS AN AWESOME ACTIVITY TO REALLY GET FRIENDS AND FAMILY INVOLVED IN!!! The more we can give together, the better for the folks to whom Matthew's Hope and the Foster Parents Association give care.

NOW, if you just want to bring all the stuff you were gonna give in all at once, then completely disregard this email. Pretend it did not even annoy you in your inbox. Imagine it as nothing more than those imaginary ants that crawl on your leg under your pants after you see someone else get an ant bite. It does not exist. Just a figment of your imagination. :-)

But if you want to do it this way, then take it to heart. Post it on the fridge. Print it on fake tattoo paper and put it on someone's hairy back as a reminder.

Either way - love y'all! So excited it's Christmas. Let's conspire together to get less stuff and give more hope.
-jason
