In 2012, the Westpoint Church family is focusing on listening, learning, and loving TOGETHER. We hope to see a TOGETHER passion for praying. We hope to see a TOGETHER effort to read through the Scriptures. And, we hope to see a TOGETHER effort to love neighbors and nations.

With regard specifically to one of the ways we are learning the ways of Jesus together, we are encouraging the Westpoint Church family to read God's story together by reading through the Scriptures in entirety this year. You might ask, "Why are you gonna do that?"

Well, first of all, we are doing it in hopes of growing in our love relationship with Jesus as we learn more of who God is and how He interacts with His people so that we might listen to and respond to Him in the daily. Second, we are doing so around a simple question - how will we now go love the One whom this story is about and obey His teachings as we love our neighbor (all those in our pathways of life)? And third, we are doing so for the sake of unity, and not only as one local church expression but together with another five local church expressions here in West Orange who have committed to the same.

The particular resource we are encouraging folks to get if they are able is a chronological Bible put together by Dr. George Guthrie of Union University in Jackson, TN.
