Write these commandments
that I've given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night."

Deut 6:6-7 (The Message)

Being the church to my family
All of us belong to a family…whether as a son or daughter, a mom or dad, a husband or wife, a brother or sister, a step-son or step-daughter, a grandparent or a grandchild, an adoptive parent or an adopted child. Some of us even consider individuals and groups we are close with to be our “family.” All of us belong to a family, and all of us want to belong.

God values family as the core element of the culture that He created. Read the Bible. God calls His followers His children. God highlights families in both the Old and New Testament. God compares the church to a family. He values family, and desires for His people to value it as well.

WFC values family…equipping each family for daily life together and growing as a church family by doing life together. And, WFC believes that God desires us to BE the CHURCH first and foremost within our individual families.

Here's how
we do this together:

- dLt GEAR
- worshipGATHERING
- compassKids
- thePOINT
- journeyMEN
-BECOMING (women)

How? Here’s some examples:

…children honoring and obeying their parents all of their lives, caring for them and loving them no matter what.

…husbands cherishing their wives, striving to value them and romance them throughout their marriage, and committing to be faithful to them daily for life…not just when they “feel” like it.

…brothers and sisters praying for and supporting one another, not taking for granted the priceless friendships that God has given them right inside their own family.

…childless parents desiring to give their love and their lives away by adopting a child who does not have a home.

What enables God’s people to do these things is the very love of Christ that He showed to us on the cross when He restored us into God’s family through faith in Him. ALSO…doing life together as a church family enables and encourages BEING the CHURCH to our families.
